About Us

The European Observatory of Online Hate is a project supported by the European Commission’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme Call: REC-AG-2020 awarded by DG Justice. The project is being implemented by a consortium of 4 partners with a proven track record of successful implementation and impact. The project is being brought to life with Textgain in the lead, and in cooperation with Dare To Be Grey, Hogeschool Utrecht and PCDS.

The consortium is tasked with conducting a two-year investigation into and reporting on the fundamental nature of the dynamics of online hate, how hate manifests itself, the connections between the perpetrators and their influence as well as disinformation strategies. This investigation will involve the collaborative development of a monitoring tool using cutting edge AI tools developed by Textgain.

The European Observatory on Online Hate (EOOH) is led by Textgain.

DARE TO BE GREY

Hate, disinformation, and polarisation are on the rise. These black-and-white world views are drowning out the Grey Middle Ground.

At Dare to be Grey, we aim to take back control, by analysing and uncovering sources of these harmful issues, and offering alternatives to the us-versus-them narratives. Our platform hosts refreshing perspectives, challenging opinions, and personal stories.

Join us, and Dare to be Grey!
