May Dashboard Analysis

During the month of May, we continued to analyse four major topics on the dashboard: Ukraine, Judaism, Islam, and Refugees. Our dataset had over 1.25 million messages, of which the average toxicity score remained the same as last month, at 0.3 (considered very high). Roughly 90K messages were considered very toxic, with a score of > 0.8. About 10% of this toxicity involved racism, politics, religion, and/or ridicule. 4% of these messages were threatening, and 2% included disinformation. Overall, the analysis in May produced very similar results to that in April.
